Love and cooking are a perfect mix to bond with your children.
The kitchen is certainly one of the places in the house most used by a family. It is the environment in which we all find ourselves in our day, to have a good snack or a delicious tea time. It is the place where we come together to share, talk, and above all, be together. The air is filled with a variety of aromas and flavors, accompanied by the laughter, conversations, and sounds of our loved ones. We prepare meals with love and care for those we cherish, as we want to spend quality time with them.
It is surely the perfect space to involve our children and follow a simple recipe together, living an original experience.
How do we get our children involved?
This certainly requires teamwork. We communicate, collaborate, listen, and look at our baby, taking care of him/her and making sure he/she is capable of preparing the recipe. First, we organise the environment to involve the child in every step. Reading the recipe together and explaining the steps can help to understand the process, and getting everyone involved in the preparation can make it a fun and rewarding experience for all.
Children love to explore, touch, and learn through their little hands, smelling scents and listening to the sounds around them. Knowing and discovering, led by an adult who describes, encourages, and supports creates a unique emotional bond. It's amazing how the roles of both the child and the adult intertwine and influence each other in this process.
How many things can children learn from this space we share?
So many! It's amazing to see how much children can learn from just being together with us. It's not just about having fun, but also about following simple rules that are part of a game, learning about different materials, and practicing communication skills. Plus, we can encourage them to use their physical abilities like hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, all while feeling safe and secure in our arms. It's truly invaluable. What can we prepare today together with our children?
